The clients' wish was to have a full-blown Home Cinema incorporated into their home whilst it was undergoing full renovation/extension.

However, none of the possible locations in the house ticked all the boxes until the architect, Andre from A7 Design came up with the novel idea of locating it in the garage!

The result is an excellent use of the large space - a perfect place for a cinema.

The system itself is worthy of mention: a large 3m wide electric drop projection screen provides maximum visual impact, and the Panasonic projector is mounted on a Future Automation projector drop mechanism which retracts into the ceiling when not in use.

3 x Artcoustic DF 65-50 speakers handle the Left, Center& Right channels combined with a Kef Kube Sub & NuVo in-ceiling surround speakers.

A Future Automation electric drop blackout blind is also used on the single window to allow use of the Cinema at any time of day.

A 4 channel Lutron dimmer takes care of the lighting and a Pronto TSU9400 remote ensures easy operation: One button dims the lights, drops the screen, blind & projector, switches on the amplifier & blu-ray player & starts the movie - exactly as it should be.
